Privacy Policy
Effective 8 September 2026
This policy describes how That Look (“the app”) handles information. It is written to match how the app actually works today. If that changes, we will update this page.
Who we are
That Look is a photo app for iPhone. There is no account and no sign-in. For privacy questions, see Support.
Photos
You choose photos with the system photo picker. The app does not request full Photo Library access. Matching runs on your iPhone. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers in order to process a style match.
If you tap Save, the result is written to Photos using add-only permission. We do not receive a copy of that photo.
Purchases
Optional That Look Premium subscriptions are sold as in-app purchases. Apple processes payment through your Apple ID. We do not receive your full payment card number. Apple may provide the app with a transaction identifier and product identifier so we can unlock Premium and restore purchases.
Analytics
The app uses Amplitude to record product events, such as whether a match succeeded, a photo was saved, or the paywall was shown. Those events can include a device identifier created by the Amplitude SDK, coarse device information, and properties such as strength, remaining free matches, or product identifier. They do not include the pixels of your photos.
Analytics are used to understand whether the product works and which features people use. They are not used to build an advertising profile or to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
What we do not do
- We do not create an account or require your name or email to use the app.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your photos to train a public model.
- We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
Data we collect, in App Store terms
Depending on how you use the app, data that may be collected includes:
- Device ID (analytics)
- Product interaction (analytics events listed above)
- Purchase history (subscription status via Apple)
Photos remain on your device unless you save them to Photos yourself.
Third parties
Amplitude provides the analytics SDK. Apple provides StoreKit, the photo picker, and App Store billing. Their processing is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention
Analytics events are kept by Amplitude according to that project’s retention settings. Subscription status is kept by Apple and on the device as needed to provide Premium. You can delete the app at any time. That removes local usage counts stored on the device.
Your choices
You can deny Photos add-only access in Settings; the rest of the app still works, but Save will not. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID account settings. You can request that we delete analytics records associated with your device by contacting us through Support and including enough detail for us to find the record.
Children
That Look is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date on this page. Continued use of the app after an update means the new policy applies.
